How it works
- Pick an audio file from your device.
- Press play and move the sliders: changes are applied while the music plays.
- Choose a format and create the file. It is processed on your device, so nothing is uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
How much louder can I make my audio?
Up to +24 dB. Each +6 dB roughly doubles the signal level. Already-loud songs have little headroom, so large boosts will sound more compressed rather than much louder.
Will boosting the volume cause clipping?
A limiter holds peaks just below full scale, so the output does not hard-clip. With extreme boosts the limiter works hard, which can flatten the dynamics.
Can I make audio quieter instead?
Yes. The volume slider goes down to -12 dB.
Is this tool free?
Yes. It is completely free, with no account, no watermark, and no limit on how many files you process.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Your audio is processed entirely in your browser and never leaves your device.
Which file formats are supported?
You can open MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC, and OGG files, and download the result as MP3 (320 kbps), WAV, or FLAC.
