    Frequently asked questions

How much bass boost should I use?

Around +6 to +9 dB is a clear but tasteful boost. Past +15 dB you get the extreme "bass boosted" meme sound, which can rattle small speakers.

Will bass boosting distort my audio?

A limiter at the end of the chain catches peaks before they clip, which avoids most distortion. Very large boosts can still sound squashed; lowering the volume slider gives the bass more room.

    Which frequencies are boosted?

A low-shelf filter lifts everything below about 120 Hz: kick drums, bass lines, and sub-bass.

    Is this tool free?

Yes. It is completely free, with no account, no watermark, and no limit on how many files you process.

    Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Your audio is processed entirely in your browser and never leaves your device.

    Which file formats are supported?

You can open MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC, and OGG files, and download the result as MP3 (320 kbps), WAV, or FLAC.
