Guglielmi: Amalia e Carlo (Live) is the world-premiere recording of Pietro Carlo Guglielmi’s 1812 opera Amalia e Carlo, presented by Florida Atlantic University Opera Theatre in collaboration with the Conservatorio Giacomo Puccini La Spezia. Students and artists from Florida Atlantic University and the Conservatorio Giacomo Puccini La Spezia performed the work in Italy in 2025 under conductor Giovanni Di Stefano. The production was then brought to Florida Atlantic University for its United States premiere on October 17, 2025. That live performance became this recording. Performed in Italian and Neapolitan dialect, the album preserves all of Guglielmi’s composed musical numbers, including the overture, arias, ensembles, accompanied recitatives, act finales, and finaletto.
