Kings in the Cavern

About this track

Brooklyn-based ambient artist stardust multiplier (aka Eric David Hoegemeyer) has announced details of a new album, his first for Brooklyn tape label Noble Circuit Records. Transmissions from a Grassworld is set for release on limited edition gold and green glitter cassette and digital formats on October 9th, 2026 with a special NYC release show to be announced. Transmissions from a Grassworld is an ambient work conceived as a series of intercepted signals. The album operates in the space between field recording, synthesis, and speculative broadcast - treating sound as information received, filtered, and reassembled rather than authored. The “Grassworld” is imagined as a parallel layer of perception: a low-lying signal field where environmental sound, electronic tone, and unconscious pattern intersect. Materials were generated through iterative recording, repetition, and degradation, allowing fragments to drift in and out of coherence like partial messages or decoded transmissions. Rather than developing themes or progression, Transmissions favors accumulation, interruption, and drift. Sounds arrive without announcement, persist briefly, and dissolve back into noise, suggesting communication systems that are unstable, indirect, or only partially intelligible.
