Dolly Parton died yesterday from a bout with cancer. She was 80. She was an influential person on so many levels. I enjoyed her music, especially the album, The Grass Is Blue. This song is my tribute to her. Recorded at my studio in Granby, the singer wishes to remain anonymous. I put down the mandolin, fiddle and guitar tracks using Shure SM58 and SM57 microphones.
