About this track
Presenting "Audio Archive" Originally conceived back in the spring of 2023, this studio project captures a very specific moment in my DJ history. The idea was to build another one of my intensely layered and nuanced drum and bass mixes, but with the focus pushed toward chewier cuts, raw breakbeats, crunchier percussion and unconventional basslines. Think less dancefloor bangers and festival anthems, and more of a deep dive into the dark, weird and mutant end of the spectrum. The stuff that really tugs at the listener. What came out the other side was a wild and warped 74 minute / 96 track MUTATION unlike anything I had made before. And then, right on the edge of release… life happened. The whole thing was left to gently gather dust on a hard drive. Enter "Create and Destroy," the 2026 tour I kicked off with the legendary DJ Craze. We both agreed it was important to put new mixes out together and stamp this collaboration properly. I took some time to think about what I wanted to do, and remembering what was still sitting on that drive, decided it was time to FINALLY release the beast into the wild. As with all of my previous work, this is best played as loud as possible and with an open mind. Gird your loins…and let the journey commence.
