“Isolation in Blue” is a 86-minute ambient album, defined by a minimalist compositional style. It unfolds as a continuous atmospheric and emotional journey, capturing moments of contemplation, melancholy, and reverie. Only in the track “Credits” does a layer of voice and narrative emerge, which reframes the listening experience and reveals an underlying context related to my experience of living in Germany, particularly themes of isolation, alienation, social dissonance, humanity, connection, hatred and love. The work is influenced by artists such as Philip Glass, Nils Frahm, Aphex Twin, and Brian Eno, in its use of repetition, gradual development, and texture crafted with analogue synthesizers.
