Neon Through Darkness Cold wind howling through a canyon pass Headlights cutting, dark shadows cast A neon sign pushing through the fog, We turn into the bar, and I pull out my guitar I’ve got some scars from playin loud To small-town beer and whisky crowds And from buying girls a drink or two And promising more than I should do I’m in the cut when I’m playing and singin Of life and love and deeds Be careful of asking for all you want You damn well may get what you need.
