i wrote this song with my friend lori mccomb. it’s been really wonderful finding lorri as a collaborator as she really gets me as an artist. she always brings stellar ideas and titles to the room, including this one. i think she just shared the title and concept, and the melody in the chorus just kinda shined through as i picked up my guitar (my producer and i ended up changing the key later). i actually recorded this song back in 2023. i almost didn’t put this song on the ep but at the last minute, with very little time to spare, i felt like it really fit and decided to add it. may it remind you that it’s never too late to try again.
