Inner Child - Pika [Inner Child Music] https://innerchildmusic.bandcamp.com/album/pika I spent a month following Pika around with my recorder trying to get the purrfect recording of a purr! And each day she graced me with some of her most virtuosic vocals. I hope that through this song I managed to represent her spirit, just the way I felt it in her presence. Pika is the cutest badass I know! She is like a granny who looks after me, chasing away other cats and even humans she doesn’t like, who dare come into our territory. And then that same fierce guardian exposes her most vulnerable self when she lies on my lap and gives me the softest cuddles and the most affectionate head-bumps. I always thought of myself as a dog person, but hanging out with Pika I realised that I am more like a cat than a dog. The cat in her recognised the cat in me. Pika taught me many things, as did my late dog Betty who I dedicated my first EP to. Both of them taught me invaluable lessons on life, love & trust. With an open heart and mind, one can learn a great deal from all kinds of creatures. Another incredible teacher I would like to give a shout out to is Ben Cantil a.k.a. Encanti, who awarded me the scholarship to attend his Encanti Music Academy during which I created this music. To all the amazing teachers out there, human and non-human, THANK YOU!!!!
