It started by Dave Cowell (who you might know as a co-writer for Sleep Theory & Nevertel, among many other bands) reaching out to us a year ago, asking if we’d like to write a song together in his studio in Memphis TN. Being huge fans of his work, we immediately responded with “say when”. This song was a result of such a fun experience, it has parts that were made in an empty hotel lobby at 5AM, and it has parts that were tracked after a dinner, at midnight (some of the best parts, may we add), when we thought the day at the studio was over. Long story short, it wouldn’t be possible without Dave, so huge props to him for such a banger of a song and a banger of experience.
