“Unnatural Connection” grew from a loose jazz improvisation an instinctive progression that gradually tightened into a song about the love that never entirely disappears. Rather than treating “the one that got away” as a source of regret, the song considers that relationship a blessing: two people can release each other, build separate lives and still carry something permanent from the time they shared. They no longer need to speak, meet again or wonder what might have been. The connection survives quietly in memory, in dreams and in the people they became. “Unnatural Connection” is not about wanting the past back. It is about accepting that an influential love can remain part of us without diminishing the life or love we have now.
