Train Station

About this track
My debut album "I Hope You're Sleeping" is out Friday, September 25th, wherever you listen to music. “Train Station” is the penultimate track of the record. The a capella opening lines reference the boygenius song “Voyager,” which came out a few days before I walked around the train station with a friend, and after, wrote this song. Some of the vocal choices echo one of my favorite artists from that band, Julien Baker. Similarly, almost every song on the album is inspired by a different musician whose work I love so deeply, it alchemizes with my own voice when I sit down to write. I’ve found it to be true that we are an amalgamation of everything we love and have ever loved. Recorded live in a chapel, these songs hold true to my values in human creation, ingenuity, and spirit. Thank you to Laurent Blanchette for believing in my songs, recording my work, and mixing it with me at your side. You truly made my dream come true. We chose not to master the tracks in order to preserve the essence of each live performance. Thank you to the Metro-North Railroad. Always, Abigail
