He was the friend who always left early. Before the coffee. Before the second round. Usually after one glance at his phone. Eventually everyone stopped wondering why. Then his chair stayed empty for a while, and when he finally returned, the coat that always left with him stayed on the chair. lyrics [VERSE 1] He’s leavin’ before the coffee again. Maybe he’s got a hot date. Phone always lights up on the table. Good night and a quick escape. [VERSE 2] Didn’t join the weekend trips. Party, he was gone by nine. We quit asking where he hurried.
