[VERSE 1] They save her the window table. Somebody always pulls out the chair. A drink arrives before she orders. She barely notices anymore. [VERSE 2] She knows how Saturday should look, how often somebody ought to call. What counts as trying. What doesn't count at all. [CHORUS] There's always room for somebody. She made sure of that. Funny how nobody stays there quite the way she planned. [VERSE 3] Well, he puts the con in confidence, she puts the fine in final notice. She says she knows what she wants. Nobody argues. [BREAK] [VERSE 4] She'll tell you they're afraid of her. Maybe that's easier to believe. She knows why every one of them left. Just not why they leave. [CHORUS] There's always room for somebody, everything measured just right. A man can fit the picture and still not fit inside. [OUTRO] I can see it. Wish she could. Apparently, that's not the same thing.
