Legs weak and vision fading, Body shutting slowly down, One wrong step up on Everest… And nobody gets found. But then he thought about his children, The people waiting back at home, And something deep inside him… Said “you’re not dying here alone.” Yeah… No sound in the freezing air, Only pressure only prayer, Most people would’ve gave up there, But Michael kept climbing through despair. One foot forward through the storm, Even when his body felt torn, Mind saying stop… Heart saying fight… That’s what kept him alive that night. Every frozen breath hurt deeply, But his children kept him breathing, Sometimes love becomes the fire… That keeps somebody living.
