I only ever listened to „BLACK MUSIC“ before that term was even „invented“.. ... every day after school, pestering the small local record shop, urging them to order this one that one, and that over there. So many records hadn't been released in Germany; then he discovered British and Dutch mail-order companies in NME, Billboard and so on, and every penny of his pocket money ended up there, piles of records on birthday and Christmas wish lists, the first time I was in England, customs generously turned a blind eye to the little squirt.: ... that was the foundation of my record collection, and now also of this mix... of course I barely understood what the songs were about – like everyone else, I had to experience that myself…; I only FELT that THIS was ME, and all „Them“, all the people around me just weren't enough for me, and my feelings were, "always too much“, as they are still today. But it was just right for me. And thus it has remained till today.
