Buy / Stream Here: https://fanlink.tv/YAMREC061 [YAMREC061] Japanese Spirit 004: Mizuchi (Water Dragon) Mizuchi, a serpentine water spirit of early Japanese legend, is said to have dwelled in the depths of the Kamo River, luring travellers to their demise beneath silent currents. Neither entirely dragon or human, the creature embodies the untamed forces of nature—shifting forms, commanding poison and flood alike. Though ancient chronicles recount its defeat at the hands of the warrior Agatamori, the myth endures in the restless movement of the water itself. Mizuchi is imagined not as a vanquished monster, but as a lingering presence of the river: a guardian, a threat, and a memory carried downstream through time. We’re beyond excited to bring back our fan favourite 2014 series, Legends. After just over a year in the making, it returns bigger and bolder! This new chapter showcases a handpicked roster of rising talent from around the world. The Legends series is about storytelling & drawing inspiration from Japanese folklore and culture to create artwork that marries up with the tales. It’s a meeting point between tradition and forward thinking sound, whilst spotlighting some of the most exciting newcomers in the scene right now. This year’s project expands to nine tracks from eleven artists, each bringing their own distinct flavour. The result is a release that moves across the full spectrum of drum and bass, from deep cutting rollers, high energy Jump Up infused minimal and atmospheric masterpieces. The lineup stretches from Europe all the way to New Zealand, featuring returning artists as well as fresh faces. Every track on this project means something to us. Being tested in clubs and radio station all over the globe, also being by some of the scene’s most respected names. Each artist involved channels the spirit of the underground in their own way.
