About this track

“One and Only” was created from a very personal place, inspired by the feeling of deep emotional attachment and choosing one person fully. I started with a simple melodic idea and wrote the lyrics naturally, mixing English and Nigerian Pidgin to keep the expression honest and relatable. The production was kept minimal and warm, focusing on soft keys, smooth Afro-R&B rhythms, and layered vocals to allow the emotion and intimacy of the song to stand out. The hook “What to do, what to do, without you me I no fit do this thing” came from expressing vulnerability and longing in the most direct, conversational way.
