This mashup fuses two of my favorite musical worlds: the melodic progressive house of Guy J and the explosive dubstep of Skrillex. I took the deep and emotive atmosphere of Guy J's "Illusion" as a base and integrated the vocals from Skrillex's "Stranger" as a decorative element. This mashup is an exploration of the sonic possibilities that arise when combining two seemingly disparate styles. The idea is to generate a listening experience that transports the listener through different emotional states, from introspection and melancholy to euphoria and liberation.
